Whenever there is talk of revolutionaries who gave freedom to the country, the names of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar come first on everyone’s tongue. The statue of Bhagat Singh is seen surrounded by the idols of two people. In which Sukhdev and Rajguru are there. On 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru had sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. In this episode, we are telling you the special things related to Sukhdev-

It is to be known that on 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivram Rajguru were hanged by the British government. It is said that these three people were to be hanged on March 24, but the British government was afraid that there should be no riot. This is the reason that they were hanged overnight without informing anyone a day before.

It may be noted that Sukhdev was born on May 15, 1907, in Ludhiana. His father’s name was Ramlal Thapar. Whereas the mother’s name was Ralla Devi who was of religious views. His father passed away when Sukhdev was only three years old. He was brought up by his father’s elder brother, who was ahead in the works of patriotism along with social service. So it had a direct effect on Sukhdev. He did a great job of filling the spirit of patriotism among the youth and took an active part in revolutionary activities.

It is noteworthy that Sukhdev was greatly influenced by the great freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. When there was a lathi charge in Punjab and the news of Lala Lajpat Rai’s death came to light, Sukhdev was very hurt, after which he along with his friends Bhagat Singh, Rajguru decided to take revenge for it. Then after planning these people killed JP Saunders, a police officer of the British rule in 1928. While this incident shook the foundation of the British Empire, the spirit of these revolutionaries in India started being discussed everywhere. After arrest, Sukhdev Thapar, Bhagat Singh and Shivram Rajguru were hanged in Lahore jail on 23 March 1931.
