Oakland: Facebook has said that in the US elections 2020, this year, it has made new rules to not affect the elections in this year. These rules will help Facebook to deal with candidates who start announcing their victory before the official results are out. In this regard, Facebook has plans to stop all political advertisements after the elections on November 3.
The ban is expected to continue for a week, but Facebook says it can be extended if needed. Facebook has also planned to identify posts that will be suspicious of the election results and will share official information for this. The social network has already banned messages that promote the carrying of weapons at polling places or attempts to “coordinate interference” in voting.
