The first earthquake was of 7.8 magnitudes, while the second earthquake was of 7.7 magnitudes. Not only this, but several thousand aftershocks also come after these earthquakes. Due to these earthquakes, severe devastation was seen in Turkey as well as in Syria. However, its effect was more severe in Turkey. According to the report, about 44,370 people died and about 1,08,000 people were injured in these earthquakes in Turkey. Whereas in Syria, due to these earthquakes, about 6,760 people died and 14,500 people were injured.
