Giving information, the National Center for Seismology, an organization that monitors earthquakes, said that an earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale occurred in Nepal at around 7:57 pm today. The epicenter of this earthquake was at a depth of 9 kilometers from the surface. This earthquake was so strong that its tremors were felt in many states of India including Delhi-NCR.
At the same time, EMSC tweeted that the earthquake was felt 9 minutes ago i.e. at 20:12 local time (7:57 pm Indian time), 69 km east of Dadeldhura, Nepal. This place is 212 kilometers away from Joshimath in Uttarakhand.

Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt in Uttarakhand around 5.30 pm. Its intensity was measured at 3.4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of this earthquake is being told near Rishikesh.
