Drugs caught in cruise going from Mumbai to Goa, Bollywood actors, and two star kids in custody

Mumbai: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa on Saturday evening. During the raid, the party was running on this ship and drugs were being consumed in it. Sources have informed that in this party, the NCB has detained 10 people for taking drugs. It also includes a Bollywood actor and the sons of two actors.

NCB had raided the cruise ship, Cordelia when it left for Goa from Mumbai. In this raid, NCB has recovered drugs like cocaine, hashish, and MD. Along with this, Bollywood actors and two-star kids have also been caught with it.

In this regard, two sources have confirmed this news. The search of the cruise ship was going on till late Saturday night. The sons of the Bollywood actor have just been detained, they were not arrested. His arrest will depend on whether he was found with drugs or whether he had taken drugs. Officers are investigating his message chat by confiscating his phone.

NCB sources based in Mumbai told that the ship was to go from Mumbai to Goa and return to Mumbai the next day. NCB’s Mumbai zonal director Samin Wankhede had received a tip regarding drugs. After this, he and his team boarded the ship as passengers.

Sources said that as soon as the ship left Mumbai and reached the beach, the party of drugs started in it. In such a situation, the NCB officers present in the ship raided the drugs and took possession of them, and launched a search operation.

An officer told that there was an entry fee of Rs 1 lakh for the journey on this cruise ship. Last week, NCB’s Mumbai and Goa teams in a joint operation arrested the brother of Gabriella Demetriades, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal’s accomplice, from Goa in connection with drugs. According to sources, NCB has also recovered charas from him. Gabriella’s brother, Aegisilaos Demetriades, is a South African national and was also arrested by the NCB last year as part of a probe into alleged drug use in Bollywood.

The NCB had started an investigation into alleged drug use in Bollywood on the basis of WhatsApp chats related to drugs in Bollywood after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020.
