New Delhi: A Delhi man killed his girlfriend after a dispute over his marriage with another girl and kept her body in the refrigerator of his dhaba and went to get married the same day. The police have arrested the alleged lover of the woman in this case. The accused, Sahil Gehlot, was arrested after the body of a girl, a resident of Khedi village in Jhajjar, Haryana, was found inside a fridge of a dhaba owned by him on the outskirts of Delhi’s Mitraon village.
According to sources, the murder took place near Kashmere Gate area. Gehlot accompanied the dead body to his dhaba, about 36 km away. It has also been learned that the accused had kept Nikki Yadav’s dead body hidden in the fridge for 5 days. At the same time, the relatives of the deceased have demanded capital punishment to the accused. Nikki’s last rites will be performed in the village. The relatives have left for Delhi to take the dead body.
Giving information about the incident, the police said, ‘On February 10, information was received that a person named Sahil Gehlot had killed his girlfriend and married another girl on the same day. The team reached Mitraon village in search of accused Gehlot, but his mobile phone was found switched off and he was not present in his house. A thorough search was conducted in the village and the surrounding area. However, Gehlot was caught by the police at Kair village intersection.

Her dhaba is in a vacant plot on the outskirts of Mitraon village.’ Sahil Gehlot further disclosed that in 2018 he had met the girl at a coaching center in west Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area, where she had joined him for the preparation of SSC exams. happened. The Special Commissioner of Police said, “At that time Nikki was preparing for the medical entrance examination at Aakash Institute in Uttam Nagar. Both used to go to their respective institutes daily in the same bus and they became friends and later fell in love.
Sahil strangles Nikki after an argument

His family was pressurizing him to marry some other girl and finally the engagement of the accused was fixed in December 2022 and the marriage with another girl on February 9 and 10. He told that Gehlot had promised his engagement to Nikki. Didn’t tell about marriage plans. Somehow she came to know about this and confronted the accused and an argument started between the two. The accused strangulated Nikki with the help of the data cable of his mobile phone kept in his car. After that he went to his dhaba and kept her body in a refrigerator.
Nikki plans to go to Goa with Sahil
Meanwhile, it is learned that Nikki had also made a plan to go to Goa on February 10 and had booked flight tickets, but when Nikki came to know that Sahil was going to get married on February 10, she canceled the Goa plan.
