New Delhi: ‘Facebook-Meta’ has issued a warning of leaking the information of 1 million users with passwords. Along with this, the company said that the data of users has been leaked through third-party apps. It has also advised its users to change their password immediately.

According to Meta on the matter, more than 400 such apps were identified last year that were stealing passwords and account information of Facebook users. These include photo editors, cameras, VPN services, horoscopes, and fitness-tracking apps. These apps were actually getting users to log in through Facebook accounts. After that, they were taking all kinds of access. Their purpose was to steal its data by login in with a Facebook account.

However, Meta official David Agranovich said that these apps used to log in through Facebook accounts but did not work after login. In such a situation, the first thing to do in any kind of data leak is to log out of your account from all devices and change your password immediately. Do not use your e-mail ID other than your name and mobile number in the password.
