Curfew in Paris due to escalating corona cases

Paris: Curfew has been imposed throughout France for at least 15 days to prevent the spread of Corona Virus infection, which will be in force from 6 pm on Saturday. French Prime Minister Jean Castex has issued new restrictions for those coming to France from countries outside the European Union, which will come into effect from Monday.

All people must bring a PCR test report, which confirms that they are not infected. Also, they will have to remain separate for seven days. Castex said the French government was trying to avoid imposing a third lockdown with partial measures, like curfew.

He said that curfew continued in most areas from 8 pm, but now “everyone will have to stay at their house from 6 pm”. Bar and restaurants have been closed for several months. Covid-19 in France killed more than 69,000 people, the highest of any European country.
