Dr. Mahesh Chandra Mishra, former director of Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences, says that India has seen three waves of corona so far. The wave of any disease means that once the disease reaches its peak, then it decreases immediately. That is, the disease does not move at the same speed and its form becomes wavy. In such a situation, if we look at the current trend, then the cases of corona in India are at the lowest level i.e. have decreased. So far, after looking at the data on immunity after variants of the corona, corona vaccination, and infection, it seems that there is no threat to corona in India, but during this time the disease is spreading in other countries and especially in China. So, its effect can be seen like this.
Dr. Mishra says that here China and other countries need to be seen separately. As is seen from 2020 onwards that China initially made the Corona figures public but as soon as the disease spread to other countries, China stopped giving the figures. In that situation, it was said that Corona left China, but no one knows what the reality was. When the corona was showing its fierce form in other countries, people were dying, delta came in India too and many people lost their lives due to this variant but in China during that time there was peace. At the same time, it is being told in China that the cases of corona are very less and have not reached even 10 thousand daily but China has imposed a lockdown in its cities, so it can be a zero covid policy but how effective is this step. Is? How many corona patients are there really? Is the corona severe or mild among the patients there? Which variant is infecting more there, this information is still not available.
Dr. Mishra says that China cannot be trusted with Corona. What is the situation of Covid in China and what effect it will have on India, it cannot be said clearly, but looking at the corona spreading in other countries and the effect of Omicron there, it can be said that India is in the third wave. Got infected with Omicron. A large population came under the grip of Covid during that time but it was not dangerous. This was due to Omicron being more contagious but less severe. Or it can be said that corona infection did happen due to the corona vaccine but the patients did not reach the hospitals.
