
New Delhi: On the second day of the new year, the countrymen have got a second gift. The Committee of Experts on Vaccine has recommended the approval of India’s indigenous vaccine ‘Covaccine’ to the Central Pharmaceutical Standards Control Organization. The committee met for the approval of the vaccine on Saturday. In this meeting, Bharat Biotech gave its presentation for approval of emergency use. Covaxin is the second vaccine to be approved after Covishield.

It is to be known that the committee had approved the emergency use of the vaccine covishield made by Serum Institute of India and Oxford. After which the government showed its readiness to vaccinate in the entire country from January 7.
