Coronavirus death rate lowest since March 22

New Delhi: There is good news for India in the fight against the Corona epidemic. Success is being found in every field of battle. The death toll from the epidemic has dropped to its lowest level in eight months. After three and a half months, the number of deaths due to infection in one day has also come down to less than 500. Not only this, but the number of new cases is also decreasing. The number of new cases received for 24 hours is also the lowest after 96 days. The number of patients recovering steadily is increasing. The recovery rate has gone up to 90.23 percent. Corona mortality in India has come down to 1.50 percent, the lowest since March 22, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday. Mortality is steadily declining. According to figures released by the ministry at 8 am, 480 people have died in the last 24 hours due to the epidemic, the lowest number of deaths in a single day since July 12. On July 12, the epidemic killed 500 people. Including these, 1.19 lakh people have lost their lives till now. Meanwhile, 45,148 new cases have been registered across the country.

Earlier, on July 22, 45,599 new cases came to light. The total number of infected has increased to 79.09 lakh, out of which 71.37 lakh patients have fully recovered. The recovering patients include 59,105 patients who have recovered in the past 24 hours. There are 6,53,717 active cases which are 8.26 percent of the total infected. Earlier, on August 13, the number of active cases was 6,53,622.

The Ministry said that the credit for the reduction in mortality goes to the better efforts of the Center, States, and Union Territories in managing the cases related to hospitalized patients. The ministry said corona-related mortality was less than one percent in 14 states and union territories, including Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, and Kerala. The epidemic-related mortality rate on May 4 was 3.23 percent.
