New Delhi: The Coronavirus pandemic is not taking its name in the country. Everyday record level cases are coming up. In many states including Maharashtra, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, the daily figures are frightening. Another bad news for all of us. According to the Verdometer, the number of corona patients in the country has crossed 2.5 million on Friday evening. The total number of corona infections in the country has now reached 2,506,247, while 48,888 patients have lost their lives. However, 1,770,682 corona patients have also been cured. The first case of corona in the country was revealed on 30 January. After its 110 days i.e. on May 10, the number of corona infected in the country had increased to 1 lakh. After this, the pace of the epidemic in the country increased very rapidly. In just 88 days, the figure has crossed 25 lakh from one lakh.
8.5 lakh samples examined in 1 day, the recovery rate is 71.17%
The Union Health Ministry said on Friday that India has examined a record 8,48,728 samples a day for Covid-19, in order to achieve the goal of testing one million samples per day. The ministry said that due to increased testing facilities on a continuous basis, a total of 2,76,94,416 samples have been tested in the country so far. Meanwhile, the number of people recuperated from Kovid-19 in the country has crossed the figure of 17.5 lakh. The Ministry said that the rate of recovery of infected people has increased to 71.17 percent today through aggressive investigation, intensively monitoring of cases, and effective treatment, through standardized treatment protocols of patients. As a result of effective clinical management, a steady decline in mortality has been reported in patients with Covid-19.
He said, “The death rate of Covid-19 infected has been reduced to 1.95 percent today and is steadily decreasing.” The ministry said that the number of healthy people has increased by 10,89,960 compared to the present cases of coronavirus at this time. He said that the number of infected in India at present is 6,61,595 which is 26.88 percent of the total cases of infection in the country so far. A record 8,48,728 samples were examined in a 24-hour period on Thursday and a total of 2,76,94,416 samples have been tested so far.
The World Health Organization (WHO), in its guideline note on ‘Public Health Norms for Adjustment of Public Health and Social Steps in the Context of Covid-19’, has recommended extensive monitoring of suspected cases. The ministry said that the WHO has also advised that 140 samples should be tested daily per million population in a country.
