Srinagar: Villagers of Tuksan in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir have caught two Lashkar terrorists with weapons. 2AK-47 rifles, 7 grenades, and a pistol have been recovered from them. The DGP announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for the villagers. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Faizal Ahmad Dar and Talib Hussain of Rajouri. Faisal Ahmed is a category A terrorist of Laskar Taiba.
With the help of local people, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two dangerous Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists from Tuksan village of Reasi district. These include the mastermind of the conspiracy to attack the yatra of Baba Amarnath. Two heavily armed Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were apprehended by villagers and handed over to the police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, an official said. Lashkar Taiba had hatched a conspiracy to attack the Amarnath Yatra. For this, the Amarnath Yatra was to be targeted on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Talib Hussain had earlier trialed by blasting two IDs in Rajouri. Then he escaped from Rajouri with the weapons dropped by the drone. Although two of his accomplices were caught by the police in Rajouri only a week ago. According to police sources, Faisal Ahmed, a resident of Kashmir, is a category A terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was asked to approach Talib Hussain to attack the Amarnath Yatra from across the border. Talib Hussain conspired to attack the yatra and both reached the village of Tuksan in Reasi district. Before they could carry out their conspiracy, the police and local people caught both these terrorists from inside a house.
It can be guessed from the seized material that both the terrorists came out with a huge amount of ammunition. He had two AK-47 rifles, 5 magazines, a pistol, 7 grenades, and a huge quantity of food and drink. In time, the local people along with the police caught both of them. The Director-General of Jammu and Kashmir Police has announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh to the local people who caught the two terrorists. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for the brave villagers who nabbed two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Tuksan village of Reasi district.
