Alirajpur: Congress MLA Kalawati Bhuria from Jobat constituency of Alirajpur district died of corona infection. She was admitted to the hospital in Indore for treatment on 15 April. There has been a wave of mourning in his area after receiving the information of the demise.
Congress MLA Kalawati Bhuria became the Member of the Legislative Assembly for the first time in 2018. Prior to this, she was a member of various social, health and other committees of Jhabua and Alirajpur districts. Kalavati Bhuria became sarpanch in 1990. After this, Jhabua was the District Panchayat President from 2000-2018. Kalavati was the niece of Congress MP Kantilal Bhuria. This is the second death in a few days in the Bhuria family. Many senior leaders including Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, MP Digvijay Singh have expressed grief over the death of Kalavati Bhuria.
