Prayagraj: The Mela administration has also claimed to complete all preparations for Basant Panchami, the fourth major bathing festival of Magh Mela (Magh Mela 2021). The fair administration has estimated a dip of faith in the confluence of about 25 lakh devotees. The Magh Mela, settled in 641.5 bighas, is divided into two zones and five sectors. Along with this, 17 bathing ghats have been made for the devotees coming to the fair in a length of 8 thousand square feet. In Magh Mela, deep water barricades, nets, and sand sacks have been installed on the bathing ghats on the same lines as Kumbh.
Along with this, kansa grass has also been laid for the devotees who leave the ghats after bathing. While changing rooms have also been made for women in bathing ghats in hundreds. Apart from this, the fair administration has also claimed strong security for the bathing festival of Basant Panchami. In view of the devotees coming to the fair, the police have also implemented traffic diversion in the fair a day in advance. Necessary guidelines have been issued to all the department employees regarding the Basant Panchami Snan festival. On the instructions of Allahabad High Court, the task force formed to strictly follow the Covid Guidelines is also active in the fair. Along with this, the fair is also being monitored from social media to drones and CCTV cameras. Along with this, arrangements have been made for continuous announcements from the public address system installed in the fair. Along with deep water barricading, the Water Police and SDRF have also been deployed at the bathing ghats built at the fair.
According to the fair administration, about five thousand police personnel have been deployed in the fair area in view of security. Apart from this, around 120 CCTV cameras have been installed in the fair area, which is being monitored through the control room. With drone cameras, every activity in the fair area is being monitored. Also, the entry of vehicles into the fair has been banned on 16 entry points made in the fair.
Security agencies LIU and IB have also been deployed in the security of the fair. At the same time, devotees are reaching the Sangam beach a day before the bathing festival of Basant Panchami. Thousands of devotees have camped on the banks of the Sangam and will return to their homes on Tuesday after bathing in Basham Panchami at Brahm Muhurta and earn the merit.
