New Delhi: Kia Motors has launched the Kia Sonet compact SUV car. Kia Motors has launched Sonet in India at an initial price of Rs 6.71 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kia will be offered in 15 variants of Sonnet with two trim lines, 4 engines and 5 gearbox options. This vehicle was first introduced at Auto Expo 2020. Experts believe that this SUV will directly rival the Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue. The car has many engine options available with premium features. Sonnet is the third car of Kia Motors in India.

The Kia Sonnet will offer a lot of features but if you talk about its premium features, then it will include the setup of Bose’s premium speakers, UVO connected air purifiers, 6 airbags with ventilated front seats, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, hill- Features such as Start Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Management and Brake Assist are included.
Booking is started
The company has also started booking the new Kia Sonet, you can book it through the company’s official website as well as through your nearest dealership. For this, you have to deposit an amount of Rs 25,000 as booking amount.
Engine and power
There will be an option of 2 petrol engines in Sonnet, in which the first is a 1.2-liter non-turbocharged engine, while the second will be a 1.0-liter turbo petrol unit. The 1.2-liter engine generates 84bhp of maximum power and 115Nm of peak torque. Standard 5 speed manual transmission will be given with petrol engine. At the same time, the top spec 1.0 liter engine will generate 119bhp power and 172Nm peak torque. This engine can be equipped with a 7-speed DCT or 6-speed (iMT) intelligent manual transmission.
