Kolkata: Famous classical singer Pandit Vijay Kumar Kichlu was admitted to the hospital in Kolkata for the last 15 days. Vijay Kumar was admitted due to shortness of breath. The sad news of Vijay Kumar’s demise has come on Friday evening. At the age of 93, Vijay Kumar Kitchlu breathed his last in the hospital.
According to media reports, about 15 days ago, Vijay Kumar complained of difficulty in breathing. After this, he was taken to the hospital. Vijay Kumar was admitted here after the initial investigation. After treatment that lasted for about 15 days, Vijay Kumar breathed his last in the hospital at around 6.30 pm on Friday evening. Vijay Kumar Kitchlu was a great singer of classical music. Vijay Kumar has been honored with the Padma Shri award by the Government of India. Along with this, Sangeet Natya Akademi has also been awarded.
