Recently, Chinese fighter jets have stepped up their incursions into Taiwan’s airspace, leading to tensions between the two countries.

China believes that Taiwan’s democratically elected government is moving towards a declaration of formal independence. However, President Tsai Ing-wen has already stated that Taiwan is already an independent country, called the Republic of China. The Chinese Ministry of Defense reiterated that Taiwan is an integral part of China.
Respond to foreign provocations
