Beijing: China’s first domestically-built aircraft, Shandong, has completed regular testing and naval training missions and will be ready for combat deployment by the end of this year. This information has been given in the news that came in the state media here on Tuesday. Last month, China’s military said Chinese aircraft carriers Liaoning and Shandong had recently completed regular training and naval testing.

Liaoning was inducted into the PLA’s navy in 2012 while Shandong in December last year. Official media reports say China is planning to build six aircraft carriers. China Central Television (CCTV) reported on Tuesday that Shandong would be ready for deployment during the war after serving in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) for 10 months.
