Beijing: China on Monday supported the hosting of the BRICS conference by India. China said it would work closely with New Delhi to strengthen cooperation in the BRICS, an organization of five emerging economies. It is worth mentioning that this year, India will preside over BRICS, the organization of Brazil, Russia, Russia, India, China, South Africa. India prepares to host the BRICS Annual Conference.
On February 19, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar (Foreign Minister S Jaishankar) launched the BRICS-2021 website of India at the BRICS Secretariat at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi. On the question of India taking over the presidency of BRICS this year, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said in a media briefing that Beijing would support holding the summit hosted by New Delhi.
Wang said, “BRICS is a system of cooperation with the global impact of emerging economies and developing countries. Recent years have seen greater solidarity and deeper practical cooperation and greater impact. ” He said, “BRICS is now a positive, stable and creative force in international affairs.” Wang said, “We are committed to strengthening the strategic partnership for firm cohesion and cooperation.”
He said, “We will support India to host the conference this year and to strengthen dialogue with other members, strengthen the three pillars of cooperation, make more progress under BRICS and increase BRICS Plus cooperation, Kovid will work to defeat 19, restore economic growth and improve global governance. However, Wang did not clarify whether President Xi Chinping will attend this year’s conference.
