Beijing: China is building the ‘Cloud Computing Data Center’, the highest in the world. China is going to set up this data center in Tibet. Official media reported on Thursday that the data center will be able to meet the data storage needs of South Asian countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan in addition to China.
According to the state news agency Xinhua, the data center is located at an altitude of 3,656 meters in a high-tech area in the Tibetan regional capital city of Lhasa. It will be the world’s tallest data center. China is investing about 11.8 billion yuan (80 1.80 billion) in the project.
Lhasa-based Ningsuan Technology Group said the data center would provide a variety of services such as video rendering, autonomous driving, distance learning data backup.
