Beijing: China has dismissed reports of an unofficial ban on commercial ships with Indian crew. China has said that it has not imposed any restrictions on the anchoring of commercial ships with Indian crew at its ports and such reports are not “true”.
When asked about reports of unofficial sanctions, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told the media on Tuesday that after consultations with relevant departments, it has come to the fore that China has no such restrictions. Not installed. He said that such reports in the media are not true.
Earlier the All India Sailors and General Workers Union had sought the help of the Central Government to save the jobs of thousands of Indian seafarers. The union said that the companies were not recruiting them for ships going to China.

In a letter to Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, the sailor’s body has claimed that over 20,000 seafarers are at home due to this reason. In a letter posted on its Twitter handle, the union said, “From March 2021, any ship arriving at a port of China and if there is a crew of Indian sailors on it, then the government is not allowing those ships to enter.”
