Beijing: China has once again tried to interfere in India’s internal affairs. China said that it will not attend the G20 Tourism Working Group meeting to be held in Jammu and Kashmir next week. China, which has been opposing India and favoring Pakistan on every international forum with its attitude, has even dared to say that it ‘strongly’ opposes the holding of any such meeting in ‘disputed’ territory. The third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting under the chairmanship of India is going to be held in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, from 22 to 24 May.
At a regular press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin was asked whether China is going to boycott the G20 meetings held in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. So he said that ‘China firmly opposes holding any kind of G20 meeting on the disputed territory. We will not attend such meetings. Incidentally, China is a close ally of Pakistan. While relations between India and Pakistan have been constantly uneasy due to the encouragement of cross-border terrorism from Pakistan.

The tourism industry has played a major role in the development of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. However, instability has affected the tourism industry. Due to this the number of tourists has decreased. People in the tourism industry in Kashmir believe that the G20 meeting can attract investors and tourists from all over the world to Kashmir. The G20 summit in Jammu and Kashmir could start a wave of change. This can take the state on a new path toward stability, economic growth, and social development.
