Agreement to export 1 lakh tonnes of rice
Indian traders have agreed to export 1 lakh tonnes of rice to China for the months of December-February. So far, China has been importing rice from Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Pakistan. Significantly, China was buying rice from these countries at $ 30 per tonne more than India.
