All the state governments including the center are applying the corona vaccine to all people above the age of 18 years. However, it is expected that now adolescents and children below the age of 18 years will also start getting the vaccine.
After the fear of a third wave of corona in the country after July, there is a fear in the minds of people about the disease. At the same time, some experts have also predicted a rapid increase in cases in the third wave in India and a large number of children falling prey to it. Due to which fear has arisen in the minds of people regarding the safety of children. However, health experts say that people need not panic.
The Indian Council of Medical Research says that the trial of Covaxin on children has been started by Bharat Biotech in the country. Operation Group for Covid Task Force Head Dr. NK Arora at ICMR says that this trial may take about four to four and a half months to complete. In such a situation, it is expected that the result of this trial will come by the end of October.
Dr. Arora says that within a few days after the results of the trial, vaccination can be started for children. In such a situation, it is expected that by November of this year, children above two years of age will start getting this vaccine. If for some reason there is a distance during this period, then from January 2022, children will be fully immunized.
Apart from Covaccine and Kovishield, many vaccines are being made in the country. Which are also likely to be used in India by the end of this year. In such a situation, the availability of vaccines for children will also be maintained.
