New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has released the schedule for holding by-elections on the vacant assembly seats in 6 states. According to the schedule released by ECI Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Prasad on Wednesday, the process of by-elections for seven seats in the states of Maharashtra, Bihar, Haryana, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha will begin on October 14. The by-elections for all these seats will be held on November 3 and the election results will be out on November 6.
According to the ECI, 166-Andheri East in Maharashtra, 101-Gopalganj and 178-Mokama in Bihar, 47-Adampur in Haryana, 93-Munugode in Telangana, 139-Gola Gokarnath in Uttar Pradesh, and 46-Dhamnagar (SC) assembly seats in Odisha But the bye-elections will not be held on the same day on Thursday, November 3, 2022. At the same time, the results of all these seats will come on Sunday, November 6, 2022.
The gazette notification regarding by-elections for all these seats will be issued on October 7. After this, the model code of conduct will come into force. At the same time, the process of nomination will start on October 14, and retrenchment will be on October 15, withdrawal of nomination will be on October 17.
