Washington: Amanda Gorman, 22, who recited the poem ‘The Hill We Climb’, received a job offer at the swearing-in ceremony of US President Joe Biden. This job offer has been offered to Amanda by David Wilson, President of Morgan State University. He has offered Amanda a job at the prestigious historic Black educational institution in Hames. David has also tweeted in this regard. In this tweet, he has written that I need a poetess like you here. Also, he also expressed confidence that Amanda would not refuse his offer.
22-year-old Amanda is the youngest poet to perform at the swearing-in ceremony of any President of America. Gorman heard Poyam ‘The Hill We Climb’ at Biden’s swearing-in. Amanda used to get stuck while speaking in childhood, but she never let it dominate herself and did not consider her weakness. After which she became a famous American Poet at her young age.
Gorman made headlines at the age of 16
When Gorman was just 16 years old, she was chosen as the first young poets in Los Angeles. From then on, she started to be very much in the news. In the very next year 2017, he published his first Poem Collection, which people also liked. There is much about social injustice and racism in Amanda’s poems. She also shows social inequality with her poems. Before Amanda, Elizabeth Alexander performed at the swearing-in ceremony of Barack Obama, Maya Angelou performed as Poet at the oath-taking ceremony of Bill Clinton and Robert Fost in 1961, and recited his poems.
Jill Biden proposed name
It has been reported that Jill Biden, the First Lady of America and wife of Joe Biden, is a fan of Amanda’s work. He himself proposed Amanda’s name for swearing. After which this young Poet was approached and performed at the swearing-in.
