Berlin: Amidst the war between Russia and Ukraine, the G-7 summit is going on in Germany. In this, some world leaders have made fun of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Britain’s PM Boris Johnson and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau mocked Putin because recently a picture of him has gone viral, in which he is seen riding a horse without wearing a shirt.

On Sunday, the first day of the three-day G-7 summit in the Bavarian Alps, Johnson and Trudeau mocked Putin. Johnson and Trudeau can be heard joking about Putin’s photoshoot in the video, The Hill reports. In this, he is saying that ‘Jacket on? Jacket off? Shall we also take off our clothes?’

Johnson tells the other leaders sitting around the table that we have to show that we are all more powerful than Putin. Just then Trudeau quips, ‘We are going to demonstrate horse riding in the open body.’ To this Johnson says, ‘There you go! there you go! We will have to show them our pecs.’ Later pictures of these leaders also surfaced, in which they took off their jackets.

Photo going viral
The picture of Putin wearing a shirt is becoming quite viral. Putin is often seen without a shirt in photographs released by the Kremlin. The purpose of releasing this picture of him is to present his strong image. The Russian President is also a skilled Taekwondo player.

US President did not support
In fact, Trudeau was referring to a photo of Putin taken in 2009, in which he was riding shirtless in the mountains of the Siberian Tava region. In Trudeau’s remarks, EU President Ursula von der Leyen said that horse riding is the best. On this, Boris Johnson said that we also have to show him our pecs. During this, US President Joe Biden was also present, but he was seen avoiding jokes about Putin.

Russia pulled out of the G-8 in 2014
Russia was expelled from the G-8 in 2014 after Ukraine’s invasion of Crimea. The current G-7 countries include the US, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, France, and Japan. This summit meeting of the G-7 countries, chaired by Germany, is taking place at a time when the war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for the last five months. During this summit, there is also news of Russia intensifying its attack on Ukraine.

There will be a ban on gold imports from Russia
Biden called on the leaders of the G-7 countries to ban the import of gold from Russia as well. Russia exports gold worth billions of dollars worldwide. America and NATO countries have already put back-breaking sanctions on Russia so that it can stop the Ukraine war, but President Putin is not ready to bow down.
