Kyiv: Russia’s attack on Ukraine continues. At least 60 people are feared dead in a massive explosion after a bomb fell on a village school in eastern Ukraine’s Luhansk region. The Governor of the state gave this information on Sunday. Serhiy Gaidai told that the Russian army carried out this horrific attack on Saturday.
According to the news agency Reuters, according to the governor of Luhansk, the Russian army on Saturday afternoon targeted a school in Bilohorivka and dropped a bomb on it. Where about 90 people had taken shelter. After the blast, the school building caught fire.
Giving information about this incident on the social media app, the Governor said that the fire was extinguished after a hard effort of about 4 hours. Unfortunately, only two bodies were found after removing the debris. 30 people were safely evacuated from the building. Of these, 7 people were injured. While the remaining 60 people have not been traced, they are feared to have died in the attack.
However, the news agency Reuters has not verified this report. Ukraine has repeatedly accused Russia of targeting innocent civilians in the ongoing war between the two countries.
Earlier, the Russian army had also carried out fierce airstrikes and shelling on the steel plant located in the city of Mariupol. Where Ukrainian civilians, as well as army personnel, were also present. However, on Saturday, all women, children, and the elderly were evacuated from the Azovstal plant.
Earlier last month, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the Mariupol Theater. It was reported that more than 600 people were killed in this horrific attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia does not want to end the war in Ukraine. Because he intends to capture other European countries.
