New Delhi: BMW, the epitome of luxury and innovation, has once again set a new benchmark in the premium car segment. The iconic 3 and 7 Series have long dominated the luxury market with their Long Wheel Base (LWB) versions, and now, BMW has elevated the 5 Series to join this prestigious lineup. The newly enhanced vehicle boasts an impressive increase in dimensions, stretching to a length of 5,175 mm, a width of 1,900 mm, and a height of 1,520 mm.
Slated for an Indian market debut in July 2024, this extended version of the 5 Series is poised to offer customers additional choices without replacing the current model.
Anticipated Pricing
While BMW has kept the pricing under wraps, market experts anticipate that this exquisite model will be priced between Rs 90 lakh – 1.00 cr (ex-showroom). Exact figures are expected to be unveiled at the grand launch event.
Exterior Excellence
The front design of the new 5 Series LWB exudes freshness and sophistication. It features BMW’s hallmark twin headlights and a strikingly illuminated kidney grille. The LED headlights have been upgraded for better performance, along with enhanced Daytime driving lights that now include turn indicators. The adaptive LED Headlights range has been expanded to include cornering light functionality and a Matrix High Beam for optimal visibility without causing glare.
At the rear, BMW continues its tradition of elegance with L-shaped fully LED taillights. A tasteful chrome strip adds a touch of class, bridging the lights for a cohesive and stylish appearance.
Interior Innovations
Stepping inside, occupants are greeted by an expansive curved display that merges a 12.3-inch Information display behind the steering wheel with a 14.9-inch control display into one seamless unit. This setup supports cutting-edge wireless connectivity technologies like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The cabin also features a flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads for uninterrupted connectivity on the go, top-tier ambient lighting to set the mood, and a sleek glass-finished round-shaped drive selector that adds to the car’s modern appeal.
