Neemuch: BJP’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra, which is being held ahead of the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, faced a stone-pelting attack in Manasa of Neemuch. BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya and Minister Mohan Yadav were on the chariot when the attack took place. The chariot and many other vehicles were damaged in the attack. Party State President VD Sharma said – We will not be scared or stopped by such incidents.

BJP is conducting the Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Madhya Pradesh. It has been reported that the Yatra was attacked by stones in Neemuch. The chariot of the yatra was targeted by the attackers. The attack also damaged police vehicles and other vehicles. BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya and minister Mohan Yadav were on the chariot during the attack.

Villagers angry over Cheetah project behind the attack
The attack happened when the Jan Ashirwad Yatra reached Rawadi Kuvi village in the Manasa constituency. The villagers are reportedly angry over the land acquisition by the forest department for the Cheetah project. They are suspected to be behind the stone-pelting on the yatra. About half a dozen vehicles have been damaged in the attack.

We are not afraid
After the incident, BJP state president VD Sharma issued a statement. He said ‘Someone tried to disrupt our yatra’. ‘We are not afraid. ‘We will walk if needed. The attack on the Yatra was planned.

The yatra started on Monday
The Jan Ashirwad Yatra of Ujjain division was flagged off by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday in Neemuch. It has been reported that a stone hit the chariot and the glasses of one or two vehicles behind it also broke.
