- Union Ministers, Chief Ministers, and senior leaders to hold press conferences at 150 locations

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has finalized an extensive outreach strategy to promote the Union Budget 2026, which will be presented by the central government on February 1. The party plans to take the budget’s major announcements, policy decisions, and economic reforms directly to the public through a coordinated nationwide campaign.
According to party sources, the outreach programme will run for 15 days, from February 1 to February 15, immediately after the budget presentation. The campaign aims to present the government’s economic report card and explain how budget proposals impact farmers, youth, women, middle-class families, and small businesses, using simple and accessible language.
150 Press Conferences Across the Country
As part of the campaign, Union Ministers, state Chief Ministers, and senior BJP leaders will address the media at around 150 locations nationwide. These press conferences are designed to ensure that information about the budget reaches every region of the country. Leaders will highlight measures taken to strengthen economic growth, boost infrastructure, support employment, and enhance welfare delivery.
The party believes this decentralised communication model will help counter misinformation and ensure citizens clearly understand the intent and benefits of the budget proposals.
Strong Push on Social Media and Youth Outreach
In addition to traditional media interactions, the BJP is placing heavy emphasis on digital platforms. Special engagements with social media influencers are planned, along with the creation of short videos and reels explaining key budget provisions. The objective is to connect with young voters and first-time taxpayers through concise, visually engaging, and easily shareable content.
Party strategists say this digital-first approach reflects changing communication trends and the growing influence of social media in shaping public opinion.
Leadership and Core Team
The overall responsibility of the Budget Promotion Campaign 2026 has been entrusted to BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh. The core team includes senior leaders Saroj Pandey, Shrikant Sharma, Narendra Raina, and GVL Narasimha Rao. BJP spokespersons Gopal Krishna Agarwal, Anil Antony, and Guru Prakash Paswan will also play key roles in articulating the government’s economic vision during the campaign.
Budget Context and Economic Outlook
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the Union Budget for the ninth consecutive time, a record in itself. Ahead of the budget, the Economic Survey 2025-26 projected India’s GDP growth at 7.0 percent, citing strong domestic demand, continued public investment, and structural reforms despite global economic uncertainties.
Taking the Budget to the Grassroots
The BJP maintains that the budget is not just a financial statement, but a roadmap for national development. By involving ministers and chief ministers in direct outreach, the party aims to ensure discussions take place in regional languages and at the grassroots level. The use of infographics, short videos, and local meetings is expected to make complex budgetary provisions easier for the common citizen to understand.
With this coordinated effort, the BJP hopes to build public awareness and support around the Union Budget 2026 and reinforce its narrative on economic management and governance.
