New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has unveiled an ambitious 15-day nationwide service campaign called ‘Seva Pakhwada 2025’ to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, running from September 17 through October 2, culminating on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The comprehensive initiative aims to connect millions of citizens through service-oriented activities across every constituency in India.
Massive Launch Event at India Gate
The campaign will kick off with a grand blood donation drive at India Gate and Kartavya Path in New Delhi on September 17, targeting a record collection of 1,000 units of blood. This flagship event will be accompanied by an extensive exhibition showcasing Centre-funded development projects and achievements of the Modi government.
Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, announcing the campaign details, emphasized that PM Modi has revolutionized Indian politics by placing service, cleanliness, and public welfare at its center throughout his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister and Prime Minister. The initiative represents the BJP’s commitment to translating political leadership into grassroots service delivery.
Comprehensive Health and Welfare Programs
The campaign features an extensive array of health and social welfare initiatives designed to reach every section of society. Blood donation camps will be organized in every district with a target of collecting at least 75 units per district, coinciding with Vishwakarma Jayanti celebrations.
Free health check-up camps will specifically target underprivileged communities, while distribution of assistive devices for persons with disabilities will ensure inclusive participation. The health infrastructure expansion includes inauguration of 101 Ayushman Arogya Mandir units and new hospital blocks by Home Minister Amit Shah at Thyagraj Stadium.
Environmental and Cleanliness Initiatives
The Swachhta Abhiyan will commence simultaneously at every booth level on September 17, with party workers and citizens participating in comprehensive cleanliness drives. The cleanup efforts will focus on railway stations, bus stands, hospitals, schools, and other public spaces across the country.
Environmental sustainability receives special emphasis through booth-level tree plantation drives and the establishment of ‘Namo Streets’ across districts to promote green initiatives. The campaign includes awareness campaigns on clean water and sanitation as core components of community development.
Sports and Youth Engagement
The highlight of youth engagement will be the ‘Modi Vikas Marathon’ conducted simultaneously in over 75 cities on September 21, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. This will be followed by extensive sports festivals running through December and January under the themes of Viksit Bharat and Drug-Free India.
Drawing competitions on ‘Viksit Bharat’ will be held in more than 75 cities, encouraging creative expression among youth while promoting the vision of developed India by 2047. BJP MPs will organize sports festivals in their respective constituencies, with registration already commenced since August 29.
Atmanirbhar Bharat Campaign Launch
On September 25, marking Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary, the BJP will launch the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat, Viksit Bharat Abhiyan’ continuing until former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth anniversary on December 25. This extended campaign will feature exhibitions and fairs promoting indigenous products and ‘vocal for local’ principles.
The Swadeshi emphasis includes large-scale Khadi purchasing on September 17 and October 2 as symbols of rural empowerment and sustainable development. Exhibitions promoting local products will strengthen entrepreneurship and artisan communities, especially relevant given global trade challenges.
Intellectual and Cultural Programs
The campaign introduces innovative interactive sessions with intellectuals in every district, featuring meetings with prominent personalities from science, art, literature, and sports. These intellectual conferences aim to foster dialogue between political leadership and academic communities.
Exhibitions tracing PM Modi’s life and contributions will be organized nationwide, accompanied by screenings of short films showcasing his sacrifices and achievements in theaters from September 17-24. These cultural programs will highlight the Prime Minister’s journey from a tea seller to the nation’s leader.
State-Specific Implementations
Tamil Nadu BJP has planned 75 major events under state president K Nainar Nagendran’s guidance, with central ministers expected to participate in strengthening the party’s presence ahead of 2026 state elections. The state campaign emphasizes ‘Vocal for Local’ principles and rural empowerment through Khadi promotion.
Delhi’s campaign, branded ‘Thank You Modiji,’ includes the launch of 75 new government schemes worth crores of rupees for the capital’s development. Similar intensive activities are planned across BJP-ruled states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and others, ensuring comprehensive national coverage.
BJP General Secretary Sunil Bansal, serving as the national campaign coordinator, emphasized that this represents his first major initiative since assuming the role, coordinating with party organizations, central government, and state governments for large-scale collaborative activities. The campaign demonstrates the BJP’s organizational strength with 14 crore members participating in synchronized service delivery across the nation.
