New Delhi: Today, in the press conference of the Election Commission, Bihar Election has been conducted. With this, the Election Commission has announced the date of the elections. As expected, there will be a three-phase election in Bihar. In which the voting of the first phase is scheduled on 28 October, the second phase voting on 3 November, and the third phase voting on 7 November respectively. Along with this, the Election Commission has made several elaborate arrangements due to Corona.
How will the election phase
According to the Election Commission, now voting will be held on 71 seats in 16 districts on October 28. Most of the Naxalite affected districts have been reported in this. Whose notification will be released on October 1 and the last date of nomination has been kept on October 8. There will be an arrangement to withdraw nomination by 12 October.
After this, the second phase i.e. on November 3, voting will be held in 94 assembly seats in 17 districts. Its notification will be released on 9 October and the last date for nomination has been fixed 16 October. By October 19, withdrawal of nomination has been made.
After this, voting will be held in 78 seats on the third phase i.e. November 7. Whose notification is to be released on 13 October and the last date for its nomination has been kept 20 October. There is an arrangement to take until 23 October.
One hour extra for voting
With this, Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said that this time an additional time has been kept for casting votes, this time voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm. But this will not be done in Naxalite affected areas.
Corona victims will also be able to cast their votes
At the last time of voting, corona victims will also be able to cast their votes, for which separate arrangements will also be made. With this, 6 lakh PPE kits will be given to the State Election Commission this time, 46 lakh masks will also be used. Seven lakh hand sanitizers will be used, along with 6 lakh face shields will be used.
