Environment Minister Gopal Rai in the Aam Aadmi Party government made an announcement in this regard on Wednesday morning. He tweeted, ‘To save the people of Delhi from the danger of pollution, like last year, this time too there is a complete ban on the production, storage, sale, and use of all types of firecrackers so that people’s lives are saved. can go.
Along with this, he wrote that ‘This time there will also be a ban on online sale/delivery of firecrackers in Delhi. This restriction will remain in force till January 1, 2023. An action plan will be drawn up with the Delhi Police, DPCC, and Revenue Department for strict enforcement of the ban.
Earlier on Monday, Gopal Rai had said that the government will do more than what the Central Commission has prescribed to control air pollution in the capital in winters. Rai said after a meeting with officials of 30 departments concerned that each department has been assigned a specific task and has been asked to submit a final plan to tackle air pollution in Delhi by September 15.

The Environment Department will monitor the steps taken to reduce pollution in winter.
