New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the highly anticipated Auto Expo 2025 today, January 17, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This mega event, which runs until January 22, promises to be a game-changer for the automotive industry with over 100 companies from across the globe showcasing innovative products and technologies, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) segment.

Global Stage for Automotive Innovation

For the first time in over a decade, the Auto Expo returns to its original venue, Pragati Maidan (now Bharat Mandapam), while also featuring events at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka and the India Expo Center in Greater Noida. In collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, this year’s event has merged with the Bharat Mobility Global Expo to bring an all-encompassing platform for vehicle manufacturers, component makers, and technology providers.

The event is being hosted by prominent industry associations such as SIAM, ACMA, ISA, ATMA, and NASSCOM, among others.

Electrifying Vehicle Lineup

The spotlight will firmly be on electric vehicles as companies race to redefine mobility. Highlights include:

  • Maruti Suzuki unveiling its first EV, the SUV E Vitara.
  • Hyundai Motor India Ltd. debuting the electric version of its flagship Creta SUV.
  • Mercedes-Benz showcasing its luxurious EQS Maybach SUV and concept models like the CLA and G electric SUVs.
  • BMW introducing its fully electric i7 alongside the new X3.

In total, over 40 new vehicles are expected to be unveiled, cementing India’s position as a key player in sustainable mobility.

Parts Exhibition to Showcase Cutting-Edge Technologies

The parts exhibition, scheduled from January 18–21 at Yashobhoomi, will host over 1,000 units representing countries like Japan, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, and Britain. Leading companies from the US, Israel, and Thailand will also participate, unveiling more than 60 new products and technologies.

Massive Footfall Expected

With an estimated 500,000 visitors, the Auto Expo is set to be a massive global event, offering a glimpse into the future of transportation. This year’s theme, “Beyond Borders: Co-creating the Vehicle Value Chain of the Future,” emphasizes cross-industry collaboration and sustainable progress.
