
New Delhi: Asus ROG Phone 7 will be officially launched in India on 13 April. Before being officially introduced, the upcoming smartphone received certification from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC). However, information about any major specification of the phone has not been given in the listing. Phone 5G connectivity can be found. Asus ROG Phone 7 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The new model will replace the ROG Phone 6 launched in July last year.
Tipster Mukul Sharma tweeted a screenshot of the alleged listing of the Asus ROG Phone 7 on the NBTC website. The listing reveals the model number. The listing shows that the smartphone has support for GSM, WCDMA LTE, and NR networks. 5G connectivity can be found on the upcoming handset. The NBTC listing also indicates that the phone has been manufactured in Taiwan.
Will be launched on 13 April
Asus’s new phone will be launched in the global market on April 13 in a virtual event through a YouTube channel. The launch of the phone in India will coincide with the global launch. Through many leaks, the fan of the smartphone got a small glimpse of the specifications of the Asus ROG Phone 7 even before its launch. According to the leak, the phone can have a 6.8-inch full-HD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor
Earlier, the Indian variant of the Asus ROG Phone 7 with the model number ASUS_AI2205_C was reportedly spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing suggested that the phone would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It has been designed to run on Android 13 with the company’s ROG UI custom skin on top. It may pack up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
ROG Phone 6 came last year
Let us tell you that Asus ROG Phone 6 powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC was introduced in July last year at a price of Rs 71,999. It is available in 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
