London: Police in the southwestern city of Bristol, England, said on Wednesday that around 200 Protestors had gathered for the second ‘Kill the Bill’ anti-lockdown protests. Later 14 arrests have been made. A similar demonstration turned violent a few days ago. Local Avon and Somerset Police reported that these arrests have been made in various offenses, including violating the Covid-19 lockdown law and obstructing the highway.

Authorities tried to disperse the protesters as the gathering was banned to halt the Coronavirus epidemic. The footage of Tuesday night’s performance has surfaced in which the protesters are seen chanting “Our Streets” and “Shame on You”. Superintendent of Police Claire Armis said, “It is a matter of great disappointment that the officers had to take action on the day we should remember those who lost their lives last year due to the Covid-19.”
