Chandigarh: Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh, who has been absconding for a long time, has been sent to Dibrugarh Jail after his arrest in Moga district today. Taking strict action against Amritpal, NSA has also imposed on him. Amritpal has been arrested in a joint operation by Punjab Police and Intelligence Bureau. Amritpal was absconding for the past several days. Punjab Police and security agencies were continuously engaged in his search. To catch Amritpal, operations were conducted across the country up to the Nepal border. At the same time, the Punjab Police tweeted and informed about the arrest of Amritpal Singh.

Recently, Pappalpreet Singh, the most important companion of Amritpal was arrested by the police. After this, on April 15, Amritpal’s most important associate Joga Singh was caught in Fatehgarh Sahib district. Amritpal was constantly dodging the police and security agencies. It is being told that Amritpal was arrested from the native village of General Bhindranwale.
Amritpal was made the chief of Waris Punjab De in the month of September last year in a function held in the same village. According to information received from police sources, the operation to catch Amritpal has been joint. The team of Counter Intelligence and Punjab Police together carried out this operation. In fact, the reason behind Amritpal being sent to Dibrugarh is believed to be that Amritpal can increase his network while being kept in jail in Punjab. That’s why he has been kept in the jail of the non-Hindi region of Assam.
