Xiaomi will now launch electric car1

New Delhi: After smartphones, TVs, and vacuum cleaners, Chinese tech company Xiaomi is now ready to step into the world of electric cars. The company is going to launch its first model MS11 sedan in the global market soon. Pictures of the model have been leaked online ahead of the official launch. The upcoming car looks quite premium on the inside. This luxury car is looking like Tesla.

Production of Xiaomi’s upcoming car may start in 2024 next year. The design of the MS11 electric car is similar to the BYD Sealed electric sedan that was recently unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023 in India. Apart from this, a combination of features found in electric cars around the world will be seen in the car.

How is the car design
The Xiaomi MS11 has a large windshield, as well as a large side glass area. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, which extends to the rear. It gets the Xiaomi logo at the center of the wheels, which will come with yellow Brembo brake calipers. There is also a LiDAR sensor that resides above the windshield. The car gets wide rear arches and the passenger cabin is slightly slimmer at the rear. The design of the taillights is like that of Aston Martin. The pictures revealed do not reveal much about the interior or its technical features. Xiaomi is reportedly in the final stages of developing its first electric car. The car was spotted several times on Chinese roads and during testing in winter.

Maximum range
The Xiaomi MS11 electric car will be equipped with a self-developed electric motor, while its battery will be sourced from CATL and BYD companies. The company claims that the upcoming electric car will be able to run up to 1,000 kilometers on a single charge. If the car gives this much range, then it will be included in the electric cars with the highest range in the world. It remains to be seen whether it can live up to that figure. The EV is likely to come with an 800-volt system, which can generate around 260 kW of power.
