Mumbai: Actress Payal Ghosh (Payal Ghosh), accused of rape against filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, met National Women’s Commission (NCW) President Rekha Sharma on Tuesday. Payal Ghosh has demanded NCW justice. Earlier, Payal Ghosh had met Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, the Governor of Maharashtra, and appealed for action against Anurag. Ghosh pleaded for justice with RPI leader Ramdas Athawle before meeting the Governor.
After meeting the NCW Chief, Payal Ghosh said, “NCW has assured them that the investigation will be completed soon.” Payal Ghosh has also appealed to the Maharashtra government to provide security for his security. At the same time, on the defamation case by actress Richa Chadda, Payal has said that she will clarify the answer.
Let me tell you, actress Richa Chadha has filed a defamation case of 1.1 crores on Payal. The matter may be heard on 7 October. Actually, the case was heard on Tuesday where no one from the other party was present. Due to this, the Bombay High Court has postponed it till October 7, extending the case by one more day. Notices were not sent to the respondents so they should be sent again. Now further hearing in this matter will be done on the next date.
Payal Ghosh had accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual exploitation at the time when he also said that there are many actresses who are willing to do anything to work with Anurag. Payal had named Richa Chadha, Mahi Gill and Huma Qureshi among those actresses. Payal Ghosh had claimed that Kashyap had intimate relationships with other female actors including Richa Chadha.
Payal Ghosh had filed a complaint against Anurag at Versova police station but the police have registered a case under sections 376, 354, 341, 342 of IPC. Anurag’s statement was also recorded by the police in this case.
Anurag Kashyap had rejected the allegations made by Payal Ghosh. Kashyap had said in one of his tweets, “What’s the matter, you took so much time to try to silence me.” Come on, it’s okay. But while silencing me, he lied so much that despite being a woman, he dragged other women along with him. Be modest, Madam. I will just say that whatever allegations are there, they are all baseless. ”
