To attract people, the fare of AC3 coaches has been kept low by the Railways. According to media reports, it will be 8 percent cheaper than the normal AC-3 tire.
Fares will be less than AC3 class
The fare for the AC3 economy class has not been announced by the government. But if sources are to be believed, its fare will be around 8% less than the AC3 class fare. Due to which people traveling in sleeper class will be attracted towards this new class of coach. Let us tell you that the government also plans to gradually reduce the sleeper class coaches from the trains and increase it to AC3 economy class coaches.
800 new coaches are planned
According to the report, 50 coaches of AC 3 Economy Class have been prepared at Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory in Punjab. These coaches have been sent to various railway zones of the country. Let us tell you that under the railway scheme, this year 800 such coaches will be prepared. Of these, 300 coaches will be manufactured at Integral Coach Factory Chennai, 285 at Modern Coach Factory Rae Bareli and 177 at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala.
The number of births increased in coach
It may be noted that there are 72 berths in AC3 and sleeper coaches, but 83 berths have been installed in AC3 economy class by adjusting the space. For which 2 berths have been converted into 3 berths. Now the number of berths in the AC3 economy class has increased by up to 15 percent. The railway wants to return its benefits to the passengers by reducing the fare, this will benefit the railways more.
Explain that the Railways has to bear losses of up to 20-25% every year in all other coaches except AC3 coaches. Railways want to woo passengers by improving the AC3 coach and reducing the ticket prices so that the sleeper class passengers can travel in AC3 economy class by spending a little more.
