Mumbai: On Wednesday, an Alliance Air plane carrying 70 passengers from Mumbai reached Bhuj with an uncovered engine and later reached the airport here. But the cover was found. After that, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has started an investigation into the incident. An official gave this information.

ATR aircraft landed safely in Gujarat’s Bhuj. The incident took place on Wednesday morning and was brought to the notice of the airport authorities by the Air Traffic Controller (ATC) of Mumbai. Later, the DGCA started an inquiry into the incident. “The Mumbai ATC informed the airport administration that the Alliance Air ATR aircraft operating flight 91-625 (Mumbai-Bhuj) took off without any lid on the left engine,” the official said.

Later, the engineering team reached the spot and found the engine cover on the runway, he said. He said flying without an engine cover could have caused problems. He said that appropriate action would be taken after the preliminary report of the Directorate General is received.
