Kabul: In Afghanistan, where people are fleeing the country due to fear of Taliban fighters, some women have now come out on the streets against the Taliban rule. The video of these women is becoming increasingly viral on social media, who are demonstrating for their rights and rights in Kabul with placards in their hands. This is the first demonstration of its kind in Afghanistan since the Taliban took over.
In the video going viral on social media, four women can be seen holding placards in their hands and raising slogans. When women are demonstrating for their rights on the street, Taliban fighters are patrolling there. In this video shared by an Al Jazeera correspondent, women can be seen marching in the street. Armed men are saying something while pointing to the women but no one comes in the way of their demonstration. Women demand that they have a stake in decisions related to Afghan politics, governance, and the economy.
Significantly, the Taliban said on Tuesday that it is fully prepared to give women their rights under Islam. The Islamic group, which again took power in Afghanistan after twenty years, said in its first press conference, ‘The Taliban is committed to providing women their rights on the basis of Islam. Women can work in the health sector and other areas where they are needed. There will be no discrimination against women.
No one will be harmed in Afghanistan
Along with this, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that he has liberated his country Afghanistan after 20 years of struggle. Not only this, he assured the international community that no one will be harmed in Afghanistan. The Taliban said, ‘The security of the embassies in Kabul is important to us. We would like to assure all countries that our forces are there to ensure the security of all embassies, missions, international organizations, and aid agencies.
