According to ICMR, 18 lakh 59 thousand 469 samples were tested in the country on Wednesday. Including the new figures, 39 crores 78 lakh 32 thousand 667 samples have been tested so far. Government figures till 7 am on Thursday show that 30 crores 16 lakh 26 thousand 028 vaccine doses have been given in the country. Of these, the number of first doses is 24 crore 82 lakh 24 thousand 925. Whereas, in the case of the second dose, this figure is 5 crore 34 lakh 01 thousand 103.
In the new phase of vaccination that started on June 21, the government is buying 75 percent of the vaccine prepared in the country. Along with this, they are being provided free of cost to all people above 18 years of age at all government centers. At the same time, 25 percent of the vaccines have been kept for private hospitals. According to media reports, the government has set a target of injecting one crore doses in a day.
40 cases of Delta Plus variants have been reported across the country. The government has given this information on Wednesday. At present, the activation of this variant is being seen more in Maharashtra, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh. Three villages in Kerala have been sealed due to the high infectivity of this variant. At the same time, two patients who were victims of Delta Plus have been found in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh. According to the local administration, one of these women died on Wednesday evening.
