IIT Bombay students bag crore-plus packages in campus placements, 63 get international offers

Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, one of the most prestigious engineering institutes in the country, has witnessed a remarkable performance in campus placements this year. As many as 85 students have secured jobs with annual packages of Rs 1 crore or more, while 63 students have received offers from foreign companies.

The institute said that the campus placements, which started on December 1, 2023, saw the participation of 384 recruiters, who made 1,898 job offers to the students. Out of these, 1,516 offers were accepted by the students, including 194 pre-placement offers (PPOs). The highest domestic package offered was Rs 1.68 crore per annum (CPA), while the highest international package was Rs 3.67 CPA.

The institute said that the top recruiters included some of the leading names in the industry, such as Accenture, Airbus, Air India, Apple, Arthur D. Little, Bajaj, Barclays, Cohesity, Da Vinci, DHL, Fullerton, Future First, GE, ITC, Global Energy and Environ, Google, and many more. The students were offered roles in various domains, such as engineering and technology, consulting, finance, analytics, research and development, and others.

The institute also said that 63 students received international job offers from countries like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Some of the foreign recruiters were Honda Japan, Uber, Rubrik, Black Stone, etc. The institute said that the international offers reflected the global recognition and demand for the talent and skills of the IIT Bombay students.

The institute expressed its satisfaction and pride over the successful completion of the first phase of the campus placements, which will resume in January 2024. The institute also thanked the recruiters, the faculty, the staff, and the students for their efforts and cooperation in making the campus placements a smooth and fruitful process.
