
New Delhi: A petition has been filed in the National Green Tribunal (NGT) for banning firecrackers. The first hearing on this petition has taken place. The second hearing is on November 5. But before this, NGT has sent notices to four states in Delhi-NCR seeking answers. Also, asked whether firecrackers should be banned from November 7 to 30 keeping in view the health of the public or not? But even before this hearing, NGT has made a big change. Now 14 more states have been included in this hearing. Notice has also been sent to them.
The decision on whether firecrackers will be fired in 18 states or not will be taken on Thursday in NGT
While hearing the petition on Tuesday, NGT had issued notices to Delhi, UP, Rajasthan and Haryana for the next hearing. But now 16 more states have been included in the hearing where air quality is poor. These states are Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. Now these states will also have their side in the hearing to be held on November 5.

Firecrackers have been banned in Odisha and Rajasthan
In view of the air pollution situation, there is a demand to ban firecrackers in many states. Due to this, the governments of Odisha and Rajasthan have already issued a notification regarding the ban on sale and purchase of firecrackers. Not only this, except for green firecrackers, the Delhi government has also imposed a fine of Rs. One lakh on ordinary firecrackers. The central government has also spoken of large fines and punishments for spreading air pollution.
