Subsequently, the Afghan security forces retaliated. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Afghan forces retaliated against “innocent civilians” and Pakistani forces after “provocative firing”. Pakistan said that tension was subsequently reduced through military and diplomatic channels.
