
Bangalore: In Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, there has been a stir in the parents and administration regarding corona infection among children. During the last 1 to 11 August, 543 children in the age group 0-18 have been found to be corona positive. With such a large number of children being corona positive, the fears of the effect of corona on children have started getting stronger. Let us inform that such apprehension has been expressed that in the third wave, Covid can have a huge impact on children.
According to the data released by the Bengaluru Municipal Corporation, between August 1 and 11, 88 children aged 0-9, 305 children aged 10-19 have been infected with corona. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has also announced that it can reopen the school for the children of classes 9-12. Schools can be opened by the end of this month.
What did the health department officials say?
An official of the Health Department has said that the cases of corona in children can increase up to three times in a few days and this is a matter of great concern. He said- “All we can do is to keep our children indoors to save them from this virus. The immunity of children will not be as high as compared to adults. It is very important for parents to keep their children indoors.”

Strict rules regarding corona in the state
The Karnataka government has already ordered that the system of night curfew and weekend curfew will continue in the state. Apart from this, restrictions have also been imposed on the borders of Kerala and Maharashtra. Only those people can enter the state who will have RTPCR negative reports up to 72 hours in advance.
During the last month, Karnataka is seeing about 1500 new cases daily. The new Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has promised to increase the speed of vaccination from 65 lakh to 1 crore every month.
