New Delhi: Addressing the countrymen on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the government was trying its best to deliver Corona Vaccine to every single person. According to people with knowledge of the case, the government has set aside Rs 50,000 crore for this work.

According to a Bloomberg report, the Modi government has estimated the cost of vaccine per capita in a country with a population of over 130 million at $ 6-7. The report states that the amount fixed is for the current financial year and there will be no further shortage of funds for this work. It is believed that a person in India will need two injections, which will cost two dollars per shot. In addition,$ 2-3 will be spent on storage and transportation of the vaccine.

Bharat Boiotech is developing the vaccine in association with the Indian Council of Medical Research. In addition, a vaccine is being developed in India in partnership with the Serum Institute and Oxford-AstraZeneca. At the same time, Zydus Cadila is developing a vaccine called ZyCov-D.
